A very attractive specimen of Chromian Uvite on Magnesite. The Uvite crystals are well formed with a orange/red color. The Magnesite crystals are also well formed and are white to clear. The crystals of both species have a very high luster. The Uvite crystals are quite gemmy which is more noticeable with the smaller crystals. The matrix is composed of massive Magnesite which has a pinkish cast to it. The specimen is in fairly good condition. One of the larger crystals does have some damage. Also, there are two bands on the edge of the specimen where the crystals are broken (at the top and the lower left of the first photo).
