Ex. Steve Pullman

The Mimetite can be found on both the top and bottom of this specimen. On the top of the specimen, the Mimetite crystals are slender and needle like and are scattered on one side of brown pseudomorphed Calcite crystals which have been replaced with brown Goethite. The color contrast is attractive. On the bottom of the specimen, the Mimetite is more of an orange color. The crystal habit is similar, but because the coverage is so much greater, the Mimetite is more matted. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
