This Aragonite specimen has been soaked in a solution of copper sulfate. The Aragonite has been altered as includes some of the Copper. Similar specimens were sold at Tucson a few years ago as Malachite pseudomorphs after Aragonite. The matrix of the specimen is massive Gypsum. Other than the copper dye, the specimen is in very good to excellent condition with no appreciable damage.
