Mineral Specimen #2665 Silver Copper Halfbreed Float Nugget
Keweenaw County, Michigan
4.8 x 3.3 x 1.5 cm
Sold
A nugget of Copper with two Silver crystals at one end. This was found on the surface where it had been moved by glaciation, thus the term 'float'. The specimen has some green oxidation due to its exposure to the elements. It appears as if the Silver has been cleaned. There are a few small scratches in the patina which shows the underlying brighter color of Copper underneath.
