This specimen has both elongated Copper crystals and blocky well formed Copper crystals. both of which have a dark red patina. The Copper crystals are associated with Barite. The Barite ranges in color from clear to white to orange. The orange material is more massive and consists of large cleavage planes. There are areas of sparkly druze Barite and a few elongated clear crystals. Although the Copper is over the Barite, there are also places where there are small Barite crystals on the Copper. At the core of the specimen, there is a layer of gray Nonesuch Limestone. There is also some secondary blue colored material. The specimen is in good condition with no scuffs on the Copper and just a couple of small bruised areas on the Barite druze on the front of the specimen. Much of the Barite on the back of the specimens ends in a contact area. Although purchased from the Seaman Museum, there is no museum label.
