Mineral Specimen #2973 Smithsonite on Cerussite

This specimen consists of a cluster of lustrous Cerussite crystals some of which are quite large. The faces of the Cerussite facing one direction are coated with a layer of small Smithsonite crystals which exhibit a high luster. The Smithsonite is colored an orange / pink color by Hematite. Many of the surfaces of the Cerussite are also coated with Hematite which is a more orange brown color. The specimen is in fairly good condition, but the larger crystals are incomplete.
