1960s
There are two generations of Calcite on this specimen. Covering much of the specimen is a mass of off white colored bladed Calcite crystals. Below this, there are wafer thin rectangular Wulfenite crystals which have a coating of clear druze micro crystals of Calcite. The color of the Wulfenite is green yellow. Below the Wulfenite (and on the bottom of the specimen), there are micro crystals of bright green Mimetite. Only a few of the Wulfenite crystals are visible on the edges of the specimen where the larger Calcite crystals are absent. The visible Wulfenite crystals are quite nice and are transparent. The specimen is in fairly good condition, but some of the exposed Wulfenite crystals are broken. From an old collection from suburban Detroit.
