Mineral specimens from this location are extremely rare. Galena and other sulfides were mined at the location from 1871 until 1882. White colored Quartz has formed casts after rhombahedral Calcite crystals. The surfaces of the casts are quite smooth and in one place becomes quite thin. One side of the specimen consists of these large casts and the other side is covered with small Quartz crystals which in places formed hollowed mounds. The Quartz crystals have a light orange color due to some iron oxide staining.
The specimen is in good condition with the exception of a couple of small places where the overlaying Quartz crystals are broken open revealing the casts beneath.
