This specimen is from an obscure location, one of the several, small Dallas City limestone quarries. It exhibits the twinning seen in Calcite specimens from the surronding area. The Calcite has a high, glossy luster and is translucent (almost transparent) and glows when well lit. The surfaces of the crystals show striated, parallel growth lines. At the base of the Calcite crystals, there are cubic Pyrite crystals with a natural reddish iridescence.
Condition: Good
Flaws: There a couple of notchs along tow of the edges of the largest, topmost crystal. There are a few internal cleaves in some of the crystals.
