A cluster of Rutialted Quartz crystals which is quite unusual because of the Kaolinite which has grown on the specimen. It is quite uncommon to get this association. The Quartz crystals are transparent with a slight smoky tan color, have good luster and are quite full of needle like Rutile crystals. The Rutile is a bright golden color with a very high luster and have grown epitaxially from dark gray colored Hematite crystals. The Kaolinite is off white in color and is composed of small, crudely formed crystalline masses which are mounded up in places.
Condition: Good
Flaws: Some of the small Hematite crystals are incomplete.
