The Montroydite is present on this specimen is very small, dark red colored, platy crystals. There are three primary places where it can be found, within two vugs and one place on the surface. Much of the surface is covered with short, stubby, clear Quartz crystals which in some places are dark silver colored possibly due to underlying Mercury. Please note: this specimen should be handled with some care since Mercury is often found on specimens from this location. The unidentified yellow material is likely either Edgarbaileyite or Eglestonite, both of which are yellow in color and can be found at the location. It is highly likely the location is the Socrates Mine.
Condition: Good
Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
