A double terminated Quartz crystal with a flattened, tabular habit which is a light smoky/brown color and has included sprays of golden to reddish gold colored Rutile. One of the broad sides of the crystal is a contact surface. The Quartz is transparent and the sprays of Rutile are best seen when the specimen is lit from the side. The Rutile radiates in sprays in various directions and is a product of epitaxial growth from small Hematite crystals which are barely visible. The surfaces of the crystal are glossy with a slight film and have light/shallow striations.
Condition: Good
Flaws: One of the terminations has a small chip. There is some minor/chipping in a few places on the edges and corners.
