A druze of Quartz crystals tinted a maroon color by inclusions of Hematite. On approximately half of the surface of the specimen, the Quartz crystals cover small, botryoidal growths of Hematite which are on a massive Hematite matrix. Elsewher on the surface, these botryoidal growths are open and hollow. Within these hollows, is a thin crust of Hematite which is a brighter red color.
