This specimen is composed of a mass of large, well formed, rhombic, white colored Magnesite crystals which on one side is covered with unusually shaped, twinned Dolomite crystals. Both the Magnesite and Dolomite crystals have in places a coating of micro, reddish colored Hematite crystals. Some of the Dolomite crystals also have Hematite inclusions. These inclusions are often zoned as is the Hematite crystals on the surface of the Dolomite crystals. Of particular note, is the one unusual, thin, elongated Dolomite crystal which is heavily coated with reddish Hematite crystals and is completely different the rest of the Dolomite crystals. Both the Dolomite and the Magnesite have a high luster.
Condition: Good
Flaws: The bottom and back of the specimen are composed of massive material. The rest of the specimen is in very good condition with only small damage on a couple of the Dolomite crystals. One end of the elongated Dolomite crystal is incomplete.
