1960s

A thin layer of Dolomite crystals formed on the surface of large Calcite crystals which subsequently dissolved leaving an epimorphic pseudomorph. The Dolomite crystals have a high, glossy luster and curved surfaces. Because of this, the pictures look as if they are out of focus. The color of the Dolomite is an attractive light orange likely due to the presence of iron oxides.

Condition: Excellent

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
