A different kind of Amethyst specimen from the location famous for its flower Amethyst. The Amethyst is present as rounded, knobby, stalactic growths rising from a bed of white to clear colored, elongated Quartz crystals. There are actually three of the knobs of Amethyst, but only the largest really shows up in the photos. The bottom of the specimen has green colored Celadonite and the broken ends of small, stalactic Quartz growths.
