Ex. G. Balogh, Collected by Pat Rutkowski, 1999
Small, bipyrmidal, Smoky Quartz from a former limestone quarry which has been reclaimed and is now a park. Over the years, I have had several specimens from this quarry, they were either Sulphides, Dolomite or Calcite (most were obtained from Pat Rutkowski who collected this specimen). This is the first Quartz specimen I have ever seen from the location. The Quartz crystals are well formed with a high, glassy luster. The crystals are light gray in color and range between translucent and transparent. The Dolomite crystals are quite sparkly with a bit of iridescence and an orangish color due to iron oxides.
Condition: Good
Flaws: A few of of the Dolomite crystals are inomplete.
