Ex. Norm Woods
Here is one of a kind specimen from a location not noted for specimens. It consists of white colored Calcite with dog tooth crystals around the edges which are colored a reddish brown color from a thin layer, just below the surface, of Hematite. It is highly likely the specimen is from the West of England Quarry which is right on the southern edge of the small village of Porthoustack. This is an aggregates quarry that mines a dark green diorite rock; Calcite is listed on mindat for the location.
Condition: Fairly Good
Flaws: Many of the crystals are incomplete or have a cleaved termination.
