A larger specimen composed of Smoky Quartz crystals which have grown upon a plate of Schorl crystals. The Quartz crystals have an unusual tapered habit most of which are double terminated although many of the crystals have one termination setting against the Schorl. The color of the Quartz crystals is a light, smoky color with a brown tint almost Citrine in color (sometimes referred to as Smoky Citrine). Although the Quartz crystals are transparent, the surfaces have a dull luster which reduces the transparency. The Schorl crystals are well formed with a high luster. There is also Hyaline Opal present around the base of the specimen and covering most of one of the Quartz crystals. The Hyaline is not visible until the specimen is exposed to SW UV under which the Hyaline fluoresces a vivid green.
Condition: Good
Flaws: A few of the Quartz crystals are incomplete.
