late 1990s

This specimen has lilac colored Amethyst crystals which partially covers green colored Fluorite. The color contrast is quite attractive. The Fluorite had partly dissolved after formation and has a melted appearance. This appears to have happened after the Amethyst crystals formed. The Fluorite does fluoresce a light, bright blue under LW UV. However, exposure to UV is not recommended because it could fade the color of the Amethyst.

Condition: Excellent

Flaws: Nothing Appreciable
