Ex. Steve Pullman

Ca2Zn[Si2O7], CaZn(SiO4)·H2O

Under SW UV, the Hardystonite fluoresces blue with a violet tint, the Herdite fluoresces a peachy orange color and the Willemite fluoresces green. The Hardystonite and Herdite do not fluoresces as vividly as the Willemite. The Herdite is an alteration of the Hardystonite. Note: in the first picture, along the top of the specimen, some of the blue coloration, especially toward the right, is likely reflected light.

Condition: Composed of massive material.

Flaws: Essentially massive material.
