Tongbei, Fujian, China

6.8 x 4.6 x 3 cm
2.7 x 1.8 x 1.2 in

This specimen has two species seldom seen on similar specimens from this location, Fluorite and Hematite. The Fluorite is in the form of small, octahedral crystals most of which are light purple in color with one pale green crystal which is incomplete. The Fluorite is transparent and has good luster. The Hematite is in the form of small, black, platy, stacked crystals. The Garnet crystals are a rich orange color, well formed and many are gemmy. The three largest Quartz crystals are also transparent.

Condition: Good

Flaws: One of the Quartz crystals is broken off at its base which is not very noticeable (in the first image, in the middle of the specimen, below the base of the leftmost, intact Quartz crystal). The largest Fluorite crystal has an internal cleave.
