Three of the surfaces of this specimen have long, thin, flattened, deep red colored Cinnabar crystals. One of the surfaces is almost completely covered with the Cinnabar crystals. One of the other surfaces is covered with druze Quartz upon which the Cinnabar crystals lie. The specimen is from an old Mercury mine first opened in 1872 and closed in 1973.
