Ex. E. Morales from J. Minnette, Nov. 1983
Two parallel, conjoined, scalenohedral crystals of Calcite that have pseudomorphed to Quartz that arise from a bed of stubby Quartz crystals stained reddish brown with iron oxides/hydroxides. There is a druze of micro crystals of Quartz coating the Calcite crystals. The reddish brown color coats some of the lower portions of the altered Calcite crystals; elsewhere, there is a dark gray to black coating. Near the termination is a patch of white material which is either Chalcedony or Hyaline. This patch slightly fluoresces green under SW.
Condition: Very Good
Flaws: Along the edges of the bottom of the specimen, the Quartz crystals are incomplete.
