This specimen is from a rail yard owned by Norfolk Southern northeast of the town of Bellevue. It features interesting growth patterns which are hoppered with octahedral modifications on the corners of the crystals. It has a high iridescent luster with reddish and gold coloration. This tarnish is said to be caused by partial alteration to Goethite.
Condition: Very Good to Excellent
Flaws: Perhaps a small amount of the Goethite/tarnish is worn on some of the edges.
